Printmaking technique:
On 24” x 37” sheets of Japanese kozo paper she created a ground layer of pattern paper by using dried plants as a stencil together with printing multiple layers of plates inked with the transparent-like Akua Liquid Pigments. Using the Akua Liquid Pigments, enables her to permeate the liquid into the paper to create rich, vibrant, colors and patterns.

Inking laser cut plexi printing plate.
She combines patterns and prose together to create the final top layer that was printed with the less toxic Akua Intaglio Inks. PD laser cut the original designs that were computer rendered printing plates out of plexi to create the printmaking plates.
The sheen on the print was created by adding metallic silver intaglio ink to ultramarine blue + phyllo blue. The original designs for the laser cut plates where computer generated in Adobe Illustrator.
